- 4 medium sized Yukon Gold Potatoes
- Gruyere
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- Thyme & nutmeg
- Garlic
- Salt & pepper

Step by Step
- Rub dish with garlic clove and save the garlic for later
- Butter dish
- Peel potatoes and cut them into 1/8th inch rounds. Transfer to pot.
- Add minced garlic, heavy cream and milk
- Add thyme, nutmeg, salt and pepper
- Bring to a boil, simmer 1 minute, and let cool.
- Layer in dish three times, adding gruyère each time.
- Bake at 375 until potatoes are tender when pierced with the tip of a knife, 35 to 40 minutes, and broil.
